anniversary

we were supposed to take the kids to April's house and stay the night at The Lucerne Inn

we were supposed to eat a fabulous dinner

and watch a movie

and enjoy each other's company in front of the fire

and sleep in

and hang out together

all day

we were supposed to, but we didn't

Negina got the H1N1 virus

everyone screamed QUARANTINE! keep her away!

we had to cancel our plans

we really didn't want to do so

but we were very lucky

The Lucerne Inn has a policy that you have up until 48 hours before check in to cancel or change your reservation or you will be charged for one night

since we were only going to stay one night

and Negina got sick within 24 hours of check in

we were going to be charged the whole amount we were planning on spending

just ask them if there's anyway possible to cancel and not get charged . . . the worst they can say is no and charge us anyway, but there is that small possibility that they may make an exception if we ask for it

they made the exception!

we don't have to pay!

but we're going to stay there for my birthday in Jan
