WE have a tradition (pretty common one) that the birthday person gets to choose the meals for the day. Breakfast and lunch were taken care of because they eat at school, but she wanted spaghetti and meatballs with cheesy bread and cucumbers for dinner and water to drink. We also have a tradition of the "special place setting." The person that is being celebrated gets a special place setting (we have to recreate it here, but in HI we had a full place setting - cup, plate, bowl, fork, spoon, knife) to distinguish them from the rest of us. So far, we have a special bowl here, so Tanie's spaghetti and meatballs were served up in it.
Her gifts included a set of earrings, Cinderella barbie (the doll is on the cake), Barbie, a babydoll, and sweat shirt and pants.I just love the pleading look she has while she is making her wish. Too cute and very priceless.
LUV YA TANIE!
